Blue Bell Farm was the perfect venue for a woodland elopement inspiration shoot. Blue Bell Farm is one of the most beautiful wedding venues in the Midwest and hands-down one of our favorite places to photograph weddings. The collaborative team that pulled off this gorgeous shoot consisted of nine crazy-talented Mid-Missouri wedding vendors who incorporate similar values in their work — top-notch quality, authenticity and creativity. Together we designed a simple yet stunning woodland setting. From the hand-lettered calligraphy place cards to Morgan’s flower crown, boy did they pull off some amazing details. The late afternoon light was perfect for a first look and intimate ceremony in the woods. Also, the formal sweetheart table in the woods was simply perfect. We’re incredibly excited to share these images — some digital, some film. Be sure to read more below!
Another Beautiful Wedding Day by Scott Patrick Myers Photography —
Introducing The Witts!
Allyn and Todd’s Church of St. Mary wedding and The Millbottom reception was on a perfectly beautiful March day. Who knew it would be an amazing 71-degree day when it could’ve been cold and snowing? Allyn did because she always had a feeling that the weather on this almost-spring day was going to be gorgeous and she was right!
Allyn and her bridesmaids started their day getting their hair and makeup done at Bliss Salon before heading to St. Mary for the ceremony. Allyn looked absolutely stunning in her David Tutera sweetheart beaded gown. Her hair, shoes and jewelry — it all went together perfectly. While waiting to walk down the aisle to see Todd, she had the most precious first look with her dad. I don’t think it’s overstepping to say she’s a daddy’s girl. Also, her adorable flower girls twirled in their dresses as everyone counted down the minutes. Those precious girls couldn’t have been any cuter!
Also noteworthy, was how overjoyed Allyn was when her gorgeous bouquet arrived from florist, Stacey Halstead from Florissimo. While talking through her wedding timeline both Allyn and her step-mom (who just happened to be my super cool P.E. coach back in the day at Hickman!) couldn’t stop gushing about the flowers. They had such a great time working with Stacey and knew that getting photographs of his craft was paramount. Once I saw the flowers bouquets and arrangements at the reception, I understood their excitement — they were amazing! In addition, the Church of St. Mary wedding ceremony was incredibly sweet officiated by a relative. It was such an incredible moment when Allyn and Todd first saw each other — I think the look on their faces says it all.
After becoming Mr. & Mrs., they left the historic Church of St. Mary walking by all of their guests to a Rolls Royce. It was such a happy send-off! Their reception was at The Millbottom, which was our first time to photograph this fantastic industrial venue. The gorgeous decor showcased the gorgeous pale pink, ivory, green and gold color scheme. The party really started after the dinner catered by Argyle Catering. Guests danced up until the sparkler exit. Allyn and Todd are such a beautiful couple — Scott and I loved photographing their special day.
Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Witt! Wishing you the very best! — sam & scott See More
