It was a blessing for Scott and I to photograph Morgan and Neil’s Firestone Baars Chapel wedding & Kimball Ballroom reception. We loved working with and getting to know this genuine, caring and Christ-centered couple. Their sweet love and adoration for one another shines through in every photograph. As beautiful as they are inside, they are equally as beautiful outside. Morgan was stunning in her classic strapless gown while Neil wore a custom navy blue suit with a few hidden words sewn in discrete places (see picture below). I love how they integrated many DIY features into their details. From the flowers that Morgan’s mom grew in the back yard that were integrated into arrangements (that her mom put together) to them making their favorite lemon bars to share with guests, they wanted their day to be simple, elegant and full of joy. Both of their sisters and brothers stood beside them as they said their vows while the other bridesmaids and groomsmen had a front row seat. I loved how this looked in their ceremony photographs. I think what illustrates this couples’ heart is how they ended their wedding day. Making sure they left their reception early in the evening, they had the opportunity to drive for a couple of hours in their wedding clothes to Morgan’s grandparents home so they could share with them their wedding joy. Beautiful, eh? Congratulations, Morgan & Neil!
